WooCommerce – Payson Form

WooCommerce – Payson Form was a payment gateway extension that enabled WooCommerce stores to accept payments through the Payson platform. It connected the store to Payson services and allowed customers to pay using credit cards, online banking, and other supported regional payment methods. The extension mainly served merchants operating in Sweden and nearby markets.

During checkout, the plugin redirected customers to a secure Payson payment page. As a result, the system handled sensitive payment data externally and reduced security risks. It also simplified compliance requirements for store owners. After payment, the system updated the order status and returned the customer to the store.

In addition, WooCommerce – Payson Form supported two payment flows. Payson Direct allowed immediate payments through cards and bank transfers. Meanwhile, Payson Invoice enabled customers to receive products and pay later. This setup gave merchants flexibility in offering different payment options within the same checkout process.

However, WooCommerce has retired this extension, so it no longer receives updates or support. Therefore, store owners should consider alternative payment gateways available within the WooCommerce ecosystem.
